We’ll prescribe a medication to be taken prior to the appointment, which will allow you to feel calm and relaxed during your treatment. With oral sedation, you’ll remain fully awake and able to respond to questions, but you’ll remain comfortable throughout the procedure. An alternative to oral sedation, we also offer nitrous oxide, which is an inhaled gas that provides similar effects. The gas is easily controlled, and once it’s turned off, the effects will wear off quickly. This is a great option for patients who can’t swallow pills or who must return to their routine quickly after a procedure.
